Tell us about you, why did you decide to open your own business?

The founder, a seasoned chef with years of experience in some of the most renowned kitchens across India, envisioned a space where the intricate flavors of their homeland could be celebrated and savored. The decision to open Riyasat was driven by a longing to create a gathering place that felt like an extension of home, where every meal is a festivity, and every guest is family.
Why did you decide to locate in Bolton?
Choosing Bolton as the home for Riyasat was no coincidence. Bolton is a vibrant, multicultural town with a thriving food scene and a community that embraces diversity. It presented the perfect backdrop for a restaurant that aims to blend traditional Indian hospitality with a contemporary dining experience. The town's welcoming nature and appreciation for global cuisines made it the ideal location to introduce the rich tapestry of Indian flavors and aromas.
What is your favourite item that you make at Riyasat and why?
Among the myriad of dishes that Riyasat offers, the favorite has to be our signature dishes such as Butter chicken, Dal-E-Riyasat and Laal Maas. These dishes hold a special place on our menu and in our hearts, primarily because it embodies the essence of Indian cooking – a harmonious blend of spices, slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in a dish that is both comforting and luxurious. The Lamb Rogan Josh is a testament to our commitment to authenticity and quality, making it a must-try for anyone who steps into Riyasat.
