Caledon continues to demonstrate strong investment momentum, with Mars Canada advancing significant upgrades across its Bolton facilities as part of a broader multi-year investment in Ontario.
The investment will enhance production capacity, modernize operations, and support sustainability improvements across Mars’ manufacturing network. In Bolton, upgrades to both the Pet Nutrition and Food & Nutrition facilities are improving efficiency, increasing output, and reducing environmental impact—reinforcing Caledon’s role as a hub for advanced manufacturing and food processing.
For Caledon, this expansion represents more than infrastructure investment. It reflects continued confidence from a globally recognized company in the municipality’s strategic location, access to major transportation networks, and proximity to a skilled regional workforce.
Mars’ presence in Caledon contributes to a strong and diverse industrial base, supporting local employment and strengthening supply chain activity across the region. Investments like this also align with Caledon’s broader economic development priorities, including supporting business retention and expansion, attracting new investment, and building a resilient local economy.
As global companies continue to invest and grow in Caledon, the municipality remains focused on creating a competitive environment for business supported by available employment lands, infrastructure planning, and business-friendly services.
Caledon’s Economic Development Office continues to work closely with companies to support expansion opportunities and ensure long-term success in the community.

February is Black History Month, a time to reflect on and celebrate the contributions of Black Canadians, the resilience of Black communities, and the ongoing journey toward equity and inclusion. This year’s theme set out by the Government of Canada, “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations,” highlights the enduring legacy of Black Canadians, from historical change-makers to today’s innovators and visionaries.
Across Canada there will be workshops, seminars, artistic performances, and community events taking place throughout February. These include intergenerational storytelling workshops, cultural dance and drumming education sessions, and presentations that explore history, identity, and community leadership.
Local residents and business owners are encouraged to engage with these events, which provide opportunities for learning, connection, and celebration. As Caledon continues to grow as an inclusive, diverse community, Black History Month offers a meaningful moment to honour stories of contribution, courage, and community across generations.

This quarter, Caledon celebrated the grand openings of three new local businesses that are contributing to the vibrancy of our community. Fiona’s Cuisine officially opened its doors in Bolton, offering a fusion of West Indian and Canadian flavours — with fresh, made-to-order dishes including jerk chicken, seafood and vegetarian options — and has quickly become a welcome addition to the local dining scene.
The team at Shine N’ Drive marked the debut of Bolton’s first full-service car wash, featuring both exterior and interior cleaning, free car washes during the grand opening celebration, and a family-friendly event that brought the community together.
In downtown Bolton, Assure Physio & Rehab opened its doors with a grand opening celebration welcoming residents to its state-of-the-art clinic that provides physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy and personalized rehabilitation services.
We extend our congratulations to all three businesses and thank them for choosing Caledon as the place to grow and serve their customers. Caledon’s Grand Opening Service on our business portal is available to help highlight your own milestone moments, and our Economic Development Office is here to support businesses at every stage of growth — from launch to expansion.
